Project in Dhustung:

Dhustung Deurali is located in Thimure VDC of Palpa District. This village does not have electricity, transportation, health care center facility. The village has only one school named Shree Narayan Secondary School and no campus for
higher education.
We conducted our feasibility test or need assessment test. We found that the school runs from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Students form 5-6 villages come here to study secondary level education. Students walk for 15 minutes to 2 hours to come to school. This made us realize that students are really eager to learn.

Our Planning: We have mentioned above that this village doesn’t have fundamental infrastructure. Thus there is no electricity and y-café project can be run only if there is electricity. But still here is one possibility of Solar energy. As there are so many organization working for solar installation that provide subsidy for VDC.
Every villager sees y-café can bring major changes in lifestyle of young people and that of the whole village too. Therefore, with the support of villagers, we took following steps.
i) Applied for subsidy for installation of Solar System (This will take two months)
ii) Build the Training Center in Shree Narayan Secondary Premises
iii) Furniture Making
Note: In the mean
time SLC level students will be given tuition.
